FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY PLEASE MAKE A SMALLER WIDGET!!! Yes, I've tried shrinking it, but it cuts off tiles halfway & becomes useless. I preferred the Fitbit one, but just make a small one that doesn't take half my screen & gives 4 stats (in my case: steps, hydration, zone minutes, hours of activity, YMMV) in a box that's 2 x 2 (might be nice to have 1 x 4 and 4 x 1 choices as well). I think it's cutting off bc I've upped my font, so please allow for visually impaired settings!

If I could give a negative score, I would. This app just keeps going from bad to worst and is making the watch nearly pointless have. Since the last update it doesn't track everything and randomly seems to track what didn't even happen, Nutrition tracker is worst, the layout is terrible, it doesn't send notifications, it won't find my phone, I can go on. I'm now looking into getting any fitness watch that does not involve google, as clearly they don't want customers at this point.

Use to be a great app. Lots of data immediately available in easy to read format. Every update removes more of that. Words replaced with cryptic icons. Graphics so large you have to scroll and scroll to see stuff. Most data that was available on the homescreen has been buried in nested menu clicks. Tips filling the screen that you can't disable. Awful. As soon as I find a replacement with a decent food budget, this app is uninstalled. Only good thing left in the app. Period. Don't buy a Fitbit.

Update: you would think with many of us having the same issue with sync that we'd get a better response than the basic script or an actual fix. I have followed ALL of the trouble shooting tips. * Don't love it anymore. Keeps saying "couldn't sync to charge 5" although it's syncing steps zone and calories. I've followed every help tip and resource under the help section and nothing has worked. Idk what yall did in the update but it's not been good.

Same problem as reported on many sites. I added a spin. At first it wouldn't save at all then I called it another exercise it saved that exercise. I went back in and changed the name to spin and resaved it. Now it will not save the calories amount that I'm manually entering from another spin class. This app has gone downhill. I hope they fix it soon. All of this "we are sorry to hear about your issue" isn't helping solve the problem. We need action!!

Food logging is garbage. Especially the "recent" tab, I accidentally logged something I've never actually eaten before about a year ago. Immediately deleted the entry and never logged it again. It has been stuck at the top of my recent tab for months. The list also contains various other things I haven't eaten in years. Meanwhile, things I've logged every day for weeks aren't on there at all or are at the very bottom.

I've been using Fitbit for years now. The past year has made me want to give it up. The biggest issue is not saving my tracked exercises. If I go on a 30 minute run for example, it doesn't get saved in the app. It's very frustrating when trying to go back and look at my stats to compare runs or any exercise. And it's been like this for several updates.

I was tracking my calories in My Fitness Pal, which is supposedly integrated with Fitbit. It isn't. Don't even bother. It was a major hassle. But the calorie tracker in Fitbit is close enough, so I just use that. Sometimes the tracker just stops in the middle of a workout, with no warning, so there is no record, and that sucks. Sometimes the device won't sync to the app. It's not a seamless experience. :/

Yesterday while reviewing my year-to-date average sleep, I refreshed and my number dropped significantly. I've tried various things, but my numbers are still incorrect. I can't find any information on how I might be able to correct this. Google seems to usually make things easier, but they've taken over this Fitbit app and removed the fun (removed the group challenges) AND made it much less practical to use (screen display). After 12 years, Im looking into other fitness tracker options. :-(

I've been a Fitbit user since 2019 and won't use them when my device inevitably bricks itself as soon as it is out of warranty. I use this to track sleep and activity and have had so many issues with the device refusing to sync. Enough that I have lost a significant amount of data (more days not tracked than tracked last month). The service is at rock bottom. I'm getting tired of being told my issues are because I am doing something wrong when the issue is always on your end.

Natalie Fagerlund

You can tell when there's an app update because your fitbit struggles to sync and won't show any notifications from your phone. I've been a fitbit user since 2015 and it's been inconsistent lately. Not sure if it's because of Google buy-out or what. But, frustrated that things aren't working properly because when they do, it's awesome!

Lisa Parnell

After years of working wonderfully, now suddenly it won't track my sleep properly. I was using it to determine how well my sleep meds were working, as it would show when I was restless and awake. Well now it doesn't show any of that data. It just shows the time I went to sleep and the time I wake up, and it's very inaccurate. It's now a glorified pedometer and that's about it... (and it barely updates my steps either).

Laura B

Absolute waste of time and money. Charge 5 and app worked just fine until being forced to merge to a google account. Now the watch dies randomly, even when it had a 100% charge a few hours prior. And the app won't open more than half the time, just get a black screen. Worthless disaster of a company. Never purchasing fitbit products ever again. Edit: Google's response to this was even more useless than the app and watch.

Maria Arnold

Since literally the day my account switched to Google account login from the Fitbit login, this app will not show me my step data. I'll sync it and it might show it to me briefly, but at midnight it's gone. It's ridiculous that it's been 6 months and the problem still persists. Weirdly my weekly roundup email will show my steps, and the app work uses for the wellness program receives it, so the data clearly lives somewhere. Just this stupid app can't seem to figure it out how to show it to me!

Antoinette “Angie” Williams

Since Google bought out Fitbit, I have had nothing but problems with my device staying synced. It will randomly connect and disconnect. I miss text messages and phone call because it won't stay connected. I won't even get started on the issues with trying to change devices. I'm not sure if they are trying to phase out the older models (Versa 2) and make you buy a newer one or if they just don't know what they're doing. Either way it's very irritating not having the functionality you paid for.

Tania

Didn't care for last updates, but recent updates even worse! I can no longer track jogging in place as part of my routine as I need to stick to indoor workouts due to decline in neighborhood. If I do a brisk walk in place it detects elliptical. I wish I could remove that option a together, but when I remove it on app it doesn't translate to my device. Horrible changes... does not work for me at all.

Linda Bramer

This is my third Fitbit. I really like it because it's small. It's convenient, and it was rather easy to use... But they never last very long. I can't keep this one synced. It won't send notifications or text messages and I agree with all of the ones that say the help articles don't work. I've un-installed the app. I've turned off the Bluetooth. I've done everything it says to do, and it still doesn't work.

Dallas Pepper

Since Google and the latest updates, everything is broken. The new period tracker is awful and inaccurate. Sleep is constantly logging while awake. Can't edit exercises, so I guess I did 3 hours of yoga and slept 12 hours. It has been a while, and nothing is fixed. Clearly, they don't care. After a decade, I'm moving to something else.

Lauren

Another update, another loss of functioning that is going to make me look for another platform. My Fitbit will no longer sync with the app and none of the steps, which used to work work now. On top of that, it's not even letting me enter data manually into the app. I updated thinking that would help and no such luck. The Google takeover was a mistake.

Duane

Missing some pretty basic functionality. I was hoping for a one stop fitness data hub. Unfortunately it doesn't import weight biometrics or nutrition data from Health Connect. The data is there, my other apps share it. So far Google fit is still the best at having the most complete summary. I do like how Fitbit presents the data it does handle, but I'm absolutely not paying for premium insights if they can't even import basic data.
